Certificate Presentation

Date:
Saturday, 9 May 2009
Location:
The Swan Inn, Kettleshulme

The Swan Inn in Kettleshulme was threatened with closer and conversion to a dwelling several years ago. The pub was rescued by a group of local drinkers who bought it and kept it running until the Autumn of 2008 when it was sold to a private owner who continues to run it as a pub and restaurant.

During the period of group ownership the pub continued to be an entry in the GBG every year (and still is). The Certificate to be presented to the pub is to register the thanks of the Branch and CAMRA to the group of people who successfully rescued this rural gem.
