About

The branch covers a large area including Buxton, Glossop and much of the Peak District National Park along with a small part of Cheshire around Poynton and Disley, and in contrast it also includes most of the Metropolitan Borough of Tameside, which takes in Ashton under Lyne, Hyde and Mossley.

The branch has over 600 members, who meet regularly to enjoy beers and pubs on offer. The branch also runs regular trips to pubs and breweries in and around the branch area, and also further afield. The branch runs a trip over a long weekend early in the year to another part of the UK. The branch also runs a foreign trip every autumn, and has visited places as diverse as Lithuania, New York and Stuttgart.

Anual Manchester City Centre visit

Our annual Twixmas visit to Manchester starts at Bar Fringe on Swan St and will then follow with a tour of some city centre pubs with their great range of beers. Always a good social trip to be enjoyed.

Manchester Beer and Cider Festival 21st to 24th January 2015

A branch social meeting at 14.00 hrs at this Festival but if you can not make this time come along any other time as this is the largest of the local beer festivals near to us.
Getting to the festival is easy as The Velodrome has a tram stop on The Metrolink Ashton Under Lyne line

February 2015 Branch meeting

Hayfield is served by bus 358 from Stockport, Marple and New Mills in the evening

Winter weekend away - Bridgenorth Shropshire Feb 20th - 223rd

Our annual weekend trip away will be to Bridgenorth in Shropshire. This delightful town has many great pubs as well as two breweries
There is also an option to explore some Severn Valley pubs by using The Severn Valley steam Railway (which has two great pubs of its own at each end of the line)
We will need to know final numbers by the Christmas social in Glossop on 6th Dec if you want to be included with the group for accommodation
